Isolation valves are often associated with another function, depending on the type of seal (all elastomer, diaphragm, metal to metal), the intended usage of the valve (sampling, adjusting, protecting other parts) but also the environment in which it is used (aseptic, explosive…). The main isolation usage consists in isolating the entire line, or a part of the fluid flow process, by totally closing off the liquid flow. The choice of the valve is made in function to the material wanted, the diameter in relation to the lines they will be installed on, as well as the conditions of use and cleaning.
Divert valve
A divert valve is used for directing the flow in a given direction. It allows the flow to be stopped in the upper or lower valve path or allows the flow to run freely along both paths. The choice of body configuration is related to the geometry of the process lines. The Definox range of valves allows for every useful valve body configuration, for the widest possible utilisation. For independent double plug valves, there are more than twenty standard configurations available. Added to that is a stepped and 3-body version that allows for increasing the number of combinations.

Used for optimizing the production line utilization rate, these single or independent double plug valves allow for exploiting the lines with an optimal sanitary protection level. The mixproof valve has an integrated leak chamber, able to detect a seal failure while avoiding the risk of cross contamination. Independent double plug valves permit the safe mixing of two different fluids. The independent opening and closing of the valve ensure a thorough cleaning of the valve without opening it.
Shut-off and divert aseptic valve Aseptic diaphragm valve
The seriousness of the sanitary conditions of some processes or manufactured products calls for aseptic valves. The Definox aseptic valves have either a physical barrier between the interior and exterior of the valve, or a built-in device for sterilizing the valve components in contact with the exterior. Steam flash sterilization, alcohol barrier, PTFE diaphragm, there are as many varieties as processes and manufactured products.
Sampling valve Volumetric sampling valve
Sampling consists of removing a quantity of liquid to verify its aspect, its composition or its quality. Before sampling, the sampling devise needs to be sterilized (sterilization in line by cleaning products or steam flashing or flame sterilization of valve paths). Most often installed on tanks or filling pipes, the sampling valves PEX PEAX embed easily thanks to their multiple connections and allow to collect fluids from the most liquid to the most viscous.

To protect peripheral equipment, notably from over-pressure or under-pressure that might occur during the process, it is strongly advised to install protective devices. These protective devices enable either pressure relief or the right allowance for under-pressure.
Tank bottom shut off valve
Tanks can be fitted with diverse parts or valves depending on their function (storage, fermentation, blending, etc.). Valves adapted for tank usage enable transfer operations, cleaning or sampling. These parts are the guarantee of protection, either when empty or under pressure.
Regulating plug valve
Regulating valves enable precise output adjustment. They can be used for controlling a filling level, additive dosage or adjusting a blending temperature. Fitted with seals they also work in isolation. It is therefore possible to progressively start or stop the flow to limit jumps and jolts without adding extra valves. In line with the flow rate we define the geometry of the plug most adapted to your needs. The dedicated actuator positions and adjusts the valve opening and waits for the required flow rate.

During the transfer cycle, production lines can stock up an important quantity of residual product. The pig is pushed through the pipe by a fluid. The pigging solutions STARMOTION are modular and adapt easily to different process types. For specific environments or on applications needing adaptations (version double envelope, configuration double pigs), Definox's solutions are personalized almost to infinity following the customer's spécifications.

Injection system
To satisfy the consumer, manufactured products come in endless varieties with more and more features, colors and flavors. The injection of concentrated flavors or colorants in the base product is a common procedure. These often-costly additives must be precisely dosed. The Starwheel or Starmanifold injection ssytems simplify the injection. By injecting these additives during transfer phases, the creation of batches becomes easier and making variants is faster. Productivity of the lines is optimized.
